By subscribing to the registration process at LetUsRead, members accept all the items and conditions mentioned here and agree to abide by and be legally bound by them.
LetUsGroup offers three services- LetUsRead, a lending library, LetUsPlay, an indoor gaming centre and LetUsMuch, a member exclusive café. In order to use any of these services, an individual must first register with LetUsGroup. LetUsGroup may ask for an identification document without which registration may be incomplete.
In order to use services of LetUsRead, a registered individual must become a member of LetUsGroup by paying the required caution deposit. A LetUsGroup membership is not required to use LetUsPlay and LetUsMunch facilities.
Memberships cannot be closed before one year from the date of activation. LetUsRead can close a membership at any time with or without a notice or a reason. A membership is automatically closed when there are no material transactions for a year. When a membership is closed, any remaining pay-in-advance plan balance is forfeited. At the time of closing, a one-time, life-time membership set-up fee of five hundred rupees is charged if it has not been already charged. Members can request credit of any credit balance remaining in the account. Members are supposed to clear their dues if there is a debit balance.
A closed membership can be reopened at any time. In order to use our services again, caution deposit must be paid as required. Any unpaid previous dues are to be paid before availing services.
Members are expected to pay their dues above five hundred rupees within five days. A late payment fee of 10% of the payment or the outstanding dues (whichever is smaller) is charged if a payment is made after we have sent three reminders. A convenience fee of 2.99% is charged for all payments made through our website. For all mobile payments, the name of the membership and the person who is making the payment must be the same. Members must confirm that their payments are credited to their memberships within 3 days. Complaints received after 3 days are not entertained. Cash payments by keeping money inside one of the returned books is not allowed. Cash cannot be handed over to delivery boy.
While LetUsRead makes every effort to promptly deliver/collect books to/from members, the service should not be considered as a promise. This is due to uncertainties involved with courier services LetUsRead is associated with. LetUsRead cannot be held liable for any fees (renewal or late) incurring because of publications not delivered/collected on time. LetUsRead should not be held liable for any lapse in delivery/collection services. Picking and dropping of books is solely a member responsibility and LetUsRead is only offering a non-guaranteed delivery/collection service. Pay-in-advance members get free deliveries if the delivery is made as part of our scheduled delivery to that location. Pay-on-time members are not eligible for free delivery/collection at any time. If there involves only collection of publications and no delivery, a collection fee is charged even if members are on the pay-in-advance plan. If LetUsRead makes a trip to a member’s address to collect their dues, a collection charge not less than three hundred rupees is charged. Free deliveries are not granted even for members on the pay-in-advance plan if their address is outside our free delivery area. As for apartments, we will deliver/collect publications only from the security. Members are advised to leave return books with security of their apartments before 10 AM on the day of the delivery. If for any reason we have to wait at a member’s address to collect return books, a waiting fee may be charged. If a delivery/collection is failed on no fault of LetUsRead, a trip fee may still be charged. New members who are in pay-in-advance plans get their first delivery free. Reopened memberships are not eligible for first time free delivery. Deliveries may be cancelled if account dues are not paid before delivery.
LetUsGroup offers three monthly membership plans. Please refer to the ‘Our Service Plans’ link on our web site. If members are on a monthly plan, their membership account is debited with an ‘advance service usage fee’ that is appropriate to the monthly plan they are in and credited to an account called ‘plan’ within their membership. When a service is rendered, its fee is deducted from this plan account. If the plan account has no advance fee paid left at the time of availing services, the service usage fee will be debited from membership account immediately. ‘Advance service usage fee’ is always charged if there are any checked out books on a membership in issued or issue-pending status. Advance service usage fee paid is never refunded as cash. If members do not want to continue with pay-in-advance plan, they must inform the library to close their plan. When a plan is closed, the entire remaining plan balance is forfeited.
In this plan, members pay for just the services they avail. There are no monthly advance payments. The holding time of books is 14 days.
LetUsRead charges a percentage of the price of a book as its reading fee. Book prices and reading fees are given online for every book. The price of books may change at any time without any notice given to members. The percentage depends on the plan in which members are in. Refer to the ‘Our Service Plans’ link on our web site.
Members can request LetUsRead to renew their circulating books. Reading fee of a renewed book will be at 15%. Books are renewed for a period according to the plan members are in.
Late fees are charged on two circumstances. First, when a member promises that a book will be returned during the next delivery/drop off and not returning as promised. Second, when the holding time of a book is expired. Please refer to the ‘Our service plans’ link on our web site to know more about the holding times for each plan. The late fee is 2% of the price of book charged every day until the book is returned or renewed. Late fees are always recovered from membership accounts and not from the membership plan.
Lost circulation fee is the fee charged when a member does not return any book but at the same time receives a new set of books. The lost circulation fee is half the reading fee of all the books that the member held before the last set of books is issued. This fee is not charged if the member informs LetUsRead beforehand that they will not be returning any book or if they return any of the old books to the library within 5 days.
Books will be marked as lost if members request LetUsRead to do so. When a book is marked as lost, its market price is deducted from the membership account. Members may return lost books within one month to get a full refund. If a lost book is returned after one month, the book will be added as a shared book to the membership and no refund is issued. A book is also marked as lost when it is returned in an unacceptable condition as determined by LetUsRead. When a membership is closed, all the non-returned books are marked as lost and its market price is deducted from the membership account.
Shared books are books that members donate to LetUsRead. Owners get 30% of the reading fee from each circulation of shared books. Owner’s share can only be used for further reading with LetUsRead and no cash redeemable is possible. Members are allowed to transfer the owner’s share to other members. Owners are not charged a reading fee for their shared books, however, their membership plan (if any) remains active as long as they have any book including their own shared books. Owners are not eligible to receive share of late fees from the circulation of their shared books. Members cannot repossess shared books from LetUsRead. Overused shared books may be removed from circulation with or without informing owners.
Members can reserve books that are currently in circulation. Members will be notified when reserved books are checked out. Reserved books will be kept for the member for five days provided they inform LetUsRead that they will come and collect them. Reserved books are not checked out against a non-active membership plan.
Members can request books that LetUsRead do not have a copy of. Reading fees of requested books will be 25% for the member who is requesting them. Members can withdraw a book request by contacting LetUsRead and the request is honoured if a purchase order has not already been placed. A time frame for the availability of requested books cannot be given. The requester will be notified when the requested books become available. Requested books will be kept for the requester for five days only.
There is an optional annual SMS fee of 99 rupees for active memberships.
Sole discretion lies with LetUsRead in deciding whether a publication is fit for circulation. Members may inform LetUsRead if they find a publication is lacking quality. Reading fee refund is only at the discretion of LetUsRead.
All our publications are delivered in protective covers. Members are requested to return them in the same cover. If a publication is returned in damaged condition that is caused by a misuse, LetUsRead has the right to charge members a damage fee or full price of the publication depending on the extent of the damage. Every book is scanned for damages when they are returned and all new damages are registered in our system to help us determine whether a damage is an existing one or an inflicted one.
LetUsRead can add credit/debit charges to a membership for a reason. Members will be informed through Email of such charges.
Always give us a call before you visit our premises. Our working hours are not guaranteed. Due to various reasons our opening timings can vary and we give no guarantee on the opening timings given on our web site. Reading rooms and the gaming centre are not affected by this limitation.
We have a Shih Tzu dog named ‘Read’ on our premises at all times and we will never cage her. If you have any inhibitions on dogs, you are advised not to visit our premises. You may have our library membership wherein publications can be delivered to and collected from your address.

You must be thirteen years of age or older to subscribe to the LetUsRead.in service.
The LetUsRead.in website and its content are for your personal, non-commercial use. LetUsRead.in grants you a limited license to access and utilize the LetUsRead.in website for that purpose only. You may not download, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, publish, license, create derivative works from, or offer for sale any LetUsRead.in content without its express written consent.
You agree to use the LetUsRead.in website and any associated service in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
LetUsRead.in reserves the right to immediately terminate your limited license to utilize its website as a result of any unauthorized or illegal use, the contents of its website, and/or any associated service should LetUsRead.in become aware of that unauthorized or illegal use. This right to terminate includes, but is not limited to, LetUsRead.in's right to terminate your subscription if it determines subscriber abuse of LetUsRead.in's policies and procedures.
LetUsRead.in will cooperate with legal authorities and private parties investigating claims of illegal activity. LetUsRead.in cooperation may include identification of you and other data relating to the use of the website. If such information is requested, you hereby authorize LetUsRead.in to release any and all information, provided that it uses reasonable efforts to identify and provide you with notice of such request (if permitted by law).
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account information and your password. If you reveal your password or share your account with anyone, you take full responsibility for his/her actions.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LetUsRead.in and its proprietor, directors, officers, employees, agents or other representatives from and against all claims, liability and expenses, including all legal fees and costs arising from or relating to (a) your breach of these Terms of Use; and (b) your use of this website and associated services including transmission or placement of information or material by you on this website. This provision shall survive the termination of your right to use this website and/or your status as a LetUsRead.in subscriber.
LetUsRead reserves the right, with or without notice, to change these Terms and Conditions in its sole and absolute discretion. The most current version of these Terms and Conditions supersedes all previous versions and can be viewed by clicking on the Terms and Conditions link at the bottom of the pages of LetUsRead website. The date of last update will be given.
